There was a story on the news last night about Dara Torres. It was amazing enough that she won three silver medals swimming against girls half her age. Now it turns out she was also swimming with bone spurs and a partially torn rotator cuff!!!
She is my new hero!
And we have more archaeology news.
I have one semi-political thing to say. Why do all the news services have headlines such as “Democrats nominate Obama!” Like it’s some huge surprise.
What’s up with that? Didn’t we all kind of know that awhile back? I even got news alerts about it last night like it was breaking news that nobody expected. I just find it all very peculiar.
There is absolutely nothing on tonight. So I will continue my expedition through the wilds of all my recorded programs.
I got another page written last night. I’m not thrilled with it, but as some wise writers once told me, crap can be fixed.
Reading: Still reading A Crazy Little Thing Called Death by Nancy Martin
Yay that you’re writing, but sad that you didn’t like it. With nothing to do or watch on TV, I’m absorbing books.

That is amazing about Dara Torres.
HAve you ever seen anything more wooden than Hillary’s call to nominate Obama?

Yup, you have to write the stuff before you can fix it. Speaking of which, my entire MSS is crap. So I am going to start from scratch during NaNoWriMo, reread all my old stuff and then put it away and start again.
That’s the only way I’ll be able to actually draft a complete MSS, it’ll be crap but finished at least.
I thought that about all the Obama stuff too. We did actually know what was going to happen!

That is so cool about the Dead Sea Scrolls! Dara Torres is awesome!
I’m sorry you don’t like what you’ve written, but I like the advice you were given. *G*
Have a fabulous day!

Is Dara Torres not the absolute coolest?

LOL… my news headline said, “Obama accepts nomination”… like he’d have gone up and said, “Yanno, I’ve changed my mind.”
