Bed of Roses. Anybody remember that song by The Statler Brothers? I don’t know about anyone else, but I always thought it sounded extremely uncomfortable. But my new bed is great! I couldn’t feel the springs poking me. Heaven! I still didn’t sleep that well, but I don’t think that was the bed’s fault. I do feel a bit guilty about putting those sheep out of work again, though. :headspin:

More archaeology news:

    Ancient gold treasure puzzles archaeologists
A priceless gold wreath has been unearthed in an ancient city in northern Greece, buried with human bones in a large copper vase that workers initially took for a land mine.

Pretty cool, huh?

So, I’m grooving to VH1 Classic’s 80 Hours of the ’80s today. Ah, those were the good old days. *g* Who were your fave bands/singers back then? I was fond of Def Leppard, Duran Duran (I wanted to steal Nick Rhodes’ wardrobe…), Erasure, Heart, George Michael, The Bangles, and Bananarama. To name just a few.

Tonight on TV, we have a new episode of Primeval. The rest of the evening I’ll be—all together now!—watching recorded stuff.

Found some stuff I had handwritten on the contemporary fantasy, so i worked on keying that in last nght. Turned out to be five pages. :whoo:

Reading: Finished up Killer Riff last night. Tonight I’ll be reading an old childhood favorite. The Secret of the Mansion by Julie Campbell. This is the first book in the Trixie Belden series which I always loved more than Nancy Drew. My copy was falling apart, so I bought the re-release that’s been out awhile. I probably need to replace several books in the series. They got a LOT of use :book: when I was a kid.

  1. I read about the Gold wreath yesterday. I think it’s funny that they don’t know it’s purpose. *g*
Yay, a new bed! Maybe you’ll sleep better tonight.
    WTG on the 5 pages!

I liked Trixie Belden better than Nancy Drew, too. *g*

    Have a great day!

  2. :whoo: on the bed!!!

And, I was a Duran Duran FREAK (John Taylor being my fave). I was at a concert of theirs once, and Erasure opened. I loved the music, but was a little… um… surprised at their flourescent pink bodysuits!

    Ahh… the memories…
