On this date in 1926, all the movie studios in Hollywood closed in honor of the funeral of silent movie superstar Rudolph Valentino. He died at the age of 31 from complications of a perforated ulcer.

can you imagine that happening now? That the studios would all close??

That would never happen now. But, it’s a nice testament to a man that prolific in the movies of that time.
