I just learned that screen legend Paul Newman, he of the amazingly blue eyes, died yesterday at the age of 83. Academy/Emmy/Golden Globe-Award winner, activist, race car driver, organic popcorn & salad dressing mogul. He was, in my opinion, the total package.
I’d heard earlier this summer that he was ill, most likely with cancer. That was indeed what took him from us.
And now I find myself incredibly sad.
I know, it is so sad. He was one in a million.

Me too. I’m realizing how many of the actors I’ve loved are getting on in years and we’re losing them at an alarming rate.

I told my Daughter he had passed and she asked me who. I had to tell her it was the guy who voiced the old timer in Cars. *sigh*
