On the front page of our local small town newspaper this week is a story about a local girl who’s had a book published by “one of the most prolific publishers in the world”. Yeah, because it’s the infamous PublishAmerica. I would not touch them with a ten foot pole. No way. No how. You want to know why? Read this. What bugs the living daylights out of me is how the newspaper acts like this is a major accomplishment. Argh!!!

Got some strange folks on Survivor this season. Oh, who am I kidding? We have strange folks every season. Last night little Paloma got voted off the “Smart Beautiful People” tribe. Supposedly there was some big “reveal” on last night’s episode. If so, I must have zoned out during it. Unless they were talking about Sugar the Pin-Up Model finding the immunity idol on Exile Island, which wasn’t really an island but a remote spot out in the jungle. LOL!

Here’s a fun story about penguins in Brazil. Maybe they want to become surfing champions like in the movie Surf’s Up.

Tonight on TV, we have the season premieres of Ghost Whisperer and Numb3rs, and the series premiere of the new Sci Fi Channel show Sanctuary.

Wrote a page and a half last night. Gotta get back in the groove.

Reading: I started another Harlequin Blaze last night but haven’t gotten very far. This one is called Pleasure to the Max! by Cami Dalton. Gypsies, treasure hunters, fun!

  1. I’ve never seen a book published by PublishAmerica in an actual store, ever. Poor girl.

I don’t watch Survivor and can’t comment on that. I can say that we have been waiting for Sanctuary to start on Sci-Fi, not bad for a series that started as a web-series, huh? *G* But, LIFE is on tonight, too! Ack!

Ah, a Harlequin Blaze. I miss the Temptaion line. *sigh*

    I hope you’re having a fabulous day!

  2. We’ve reviewed two PA books at LASR (we won’t review them any longer, BTW, as we consider them self-published… no matter what the author may think). One was a good story but FULL of editing errors. The other was a good story that was written by an author who now knows better, lol.

And, the penguins are so CUTE!

  3. Something else is on tonight, too, AGAINST NUM3ERS. Can’t remember what, though, but I know I’m ditching #s to watch it.

Crumb, now I’ll have to go check….

  4. Did you watch SANCTUARY last night? I’m really interested in your take on it.
