Fun stuff in archaeology news today:
- Ancient Peru pyramid spotted by satellite
A new remote sensing technology has peeled away layers of mud and rock near Peru’s Cahuachi desert to reveal an ancient adobe pyramid, Italian researchers announced on Friday at a satellite imagery conference in Rome.
On this date in 1927, The Jazz Singer starring Al Jolson was the first feature-length movie released with talking sequences. And thus the “talkies” were born. This should not, of course, be confused with the Neil Diamond movie of the same name.
I kind of enjoyed Valentine last night. Would have enjoyed it more if I could have understood what people were saying, though. The sound editing sucked big time. And the closed-captioning didn’t work. I hate our cable company so much. Guess I’ll have to add the CW to my satellite package too. *sigh*
Tonight on TV, we have Chuck, Dancing with the Stars (and Misty May-Treanor may not be out after all, according to TV Guide), CSI: Miami and Heroes.
I’ve got to cut down on my computer time again. My hands are bugging the daylights out of me. So I’m not ignoring you guys. I just may not be able to comment all the time.
Wrote another page last night. Yay, me!
Reading: Now I’m reading Sour Puss by Rita Mae Brown (and her cat Sneaky Pie
). I’ve read this one before but I don’t remember who the killer is.
oh no about your hands. Take care of them.

I hope your hands improve!
So, she may not be out afterall, eh? Weird.
Glad you liked Valentine. I don’t know what was going on, but we had to turn the volume up for the show, making commercials LOUD. VERY LOUD.
CSI:Miami has lost my interest. Life is on tonight, so we’ll be watching that. *G*
I hope you rest your hands! Hugs! Have a good day!

I never even considered not adding local channels to my satellite. And this is why.
WTG on the page.
Hope your hands feel better soon.

I hear you on your hands Tori! I’m right there with you. Getting sick helped, but now that I’m back to work more it comes back! Feel better.
And I didn’t know Chuck was on already! I guess I should have. Oh, well!
