It’s time for the final Dancing with the Stars report for this season!
First, the three finalists told us what their favorite dances were in each style (ballroom and Latin). Then the junior winners were announced. The winners were Craig & Samantha, the brother & sister team.
After that, it was time for the “Samba Smackdown” where the three teams danced the samba (what else?) one right after the other.
- Brooke Burke & Derek Hough – I didn’t think their samba was her best dance. It was good but not great. But the judges liked it. They scored 28/30. Then it was time for the freestyle. And it rocked!!! I cracked up over Bruno’s comment that she ended up in positions he’d only seen in the Kama Sutra!
They scored 30/30 for a total of 58/60.- Lance Bass & Lacey Schwimmer – Their samba wasn’t great either, but I thought it was better than Brooke’s. The judges disagreed with me. They scored 26/30. And then it was time for their freestyle. Well, you guys know how much I dislike hip-hop. But I still thought they rocked! They scored 27/30 for a total of 53/60.
- Warren Sapp & Kym Johnson – Their samba wasn’t that great either, IMO. They scored 25/30. And then we had their freestyle. I love Warren to bits but I wasn’t as blown away by this as I wanted to be. They scored 28/30 for a total of 53/60.
Have you guys seen that Christmas cell phone commercial with the gingerbread family? It cracks me up when the human hand breaks open the roof and the gingerbread wife in the bath screams. Then the gingerbread husband says in annoyed frustration, “Oh, c’mon, man! It’s the holidays!”
I should have known better than to be happy about nothing happening around here yesterday. In the afternoon, I tripped over a box in the living room and fell flat on my face. I don’t think I broke anything, but I am sore all over. *sigh* Especially my neck and shoulders. And my knees. Wish I had a massage therapist here.
Tonight on TV, we have NCIS, The Mentalist, Fringe and the Dancing with the Stars results show/season finale. DWTS is on for two hours, just so you know.
I didn’t do any writing because of my little accident. I was so totally brain dead it wasn’t funny. I’ll have to make it up this weekend.
Reading: Still reading 1634: The Bavarian Crisis. I’m not enjoying it quite as much as some of the other books in the series. Oh well. I do keep wondering if I’ll happen across any of my famous alleged ancestors, though. *g*
oh no, sorry that you fell. I hope you’re feeling better. Did you take Motrin or Advil? Did you rub bengay. They are your friends.
Why is DWTS 2 hours? I can only watch/DVR two shows at the same time.
I love that commmercial…it is too cute.

I hope you feel better soon. Maybe a heating pad? I thought out of all the Samba’s Lance and Lacey did the best. Bruno’s comment cracked me up, too. *g*

Thanks for the recaps of DWTS. It’s as if I’ve watched the entire season. And I know when to tune in if something you preview catches my eye!
