On this date in 1947 singing cowboy Roy Rogers married his co-star Dale Evans. They were married 51 years until his death in 1998.

If any of you missed Leverage last night, I’m so sorry!!! :worthy: My TV listings said it was a rerun and I only discovered about an hour beforehand that it wasn’t. It was a great episode, too!

Lots of reruns tonight. And New Year’s Eve specials. Me, I’ll either watch recorded shows or the Barrett-Jackson classic car auction on Speed. Yes, I know it sounds like a funny thing to watch, but I have a thing for antique cars.

Wrote about half a page last night. :cheer:

Reading: Finished up Murder By Numbers. Good read! I’m always pleased when I don’t figure out who the killer is until the detective does. :)

Still sunny here. What a concept! Still cool. Which I won’t complain about too much since it avoids the nasty severe thunderstorms with possible tornadoes.

The only new thing on tonight is Eli Stone. I’ll probably end up recording it on the San Francisco feed, though, so I can watch recorded shows earlier.

I need to start working up some Hollywoodland type articles/posts for the new year. I’ve been kind of a slackard about that lately. :couch:

Wrote a whole paragraph last night with three whole sentences! :whoo:

Reading: I skimmed almost all of the Hercule Poirot book because most of the stories had been made into episodes of the TV show and I remembered who done it and why. *g* Now I’m reading a new-to-me author, Kaye Morgan. The book is called Murder By Numbers. It’s about publicist Liza Kelly who currently writes a newspaper column about sudoku puzzles. She’s moved back to her old hometown which has been overrun with a movie crew. Naturally, somebody ends up dead and Liza has to investigate.

Dear Big Four Network Execs, you feel compelled to air more and more so-called “reality programming”. This forces me to shift my viewing loyalty to channels where I can watch actual programs with scripts and actors. If you continue to lose money because your viewership drops off, you have only yourselves to blame. Sincerely, an Annoyed Viewer

Y’know, I’m sure reality programming is cheaper to produce, but aside from Ghost Hunters, Survivor and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, I have absolutely no desire to watch any of it. Most of them are stupid. So, given a choice between reality shows and a good book? The book’s gonna win hands down Every. Single. Time.

It’s another night of no new programming, so I’ll be watching yet more recorded shows. Which is fine. I’m still behind.

Reading: Now I’m reading Poirot Investigates by Agatha Christie. This is a collection of Hercule Poirot short stories. And I know at least the first one was used for the TV series because I recognize it. :)
