No, I’m not talking about the weather. I mean the winter TV season! The new thing going. Shows premiering in January. Okay, so they call it a “mid-season” but I like my term better. ;) And one of the shows returning on January 22nd is Burn Notice. :whoo: Also coming in January, Psych (love Gus & Shawn!), 24, Lost. And lots more, I’m sure.

Yesterday I watched bits & pieces of several movies as I came across them. One of which was one of my favorites from the ’80s, The Goonies. Sure it was basically a kids movie, but it was fun! And I tuned in in time to hear Martha Plimpton recite my favorite line: “This is ridiculous. I feel like I’m babysitting without getting paid.” Which probably makes no sense out of context. *g*

Holy moley! It is WINDY here today. It’s also overcast but we’re not supposed to get any rain until late today. High today of 58, high tomorrow of 48. High Tuesday? 39. I hate winter. However, I am thankful I’m not in the Northwest, upper Plains or New England. Yikes! Those poor people are really getting slammed!

Tonight on TV, I’ll be watching the Survivor season finale. I’m rooting for Bob and Sugar, the two least likely people to be where they are right now. :)

Reading: I’m well into Brimstone Kiss now and really enjoying it. To me, it got off to a bit of a slow start but that was because there was some recapping what happened in the first book which I didn’t need having just finished reading it. :)

  2. I’m looking forward to The Closer returning! And Leverage is an awesome new show that will carry into January as well.
It’s overcast here today and our high has been 43. The water in my birdbath froze solid!
I remember The Goonies! I picked it up from the library once for the kids to watch and they enjoyed it, too.

    I hope you’re having a good day!

The wind here has been terrible today. It’s supposed to drop from our current 57 to 19!! degrees tonight…

  4. I hadn’t realized it was Pratchett himself in HOGFATHER as the toyshop owner. I’ll have to watch for it next time!

  5. All this TV talk just goes right over my head. We had NBC on yesterday for a football game and they mentioned the Heroes season finale. All I could think was already? I watched the trailer and felt so lost. Hard to believe until a few months ago I’d never missed an episode!
