Eartha Kitt who sang my favorite version of the song Santa Baby passed away yesterday at the age of 81. She also played Catwoman in the 1960s edition of Batman.

Also, playwright and screenwriter Harold Pinter died. He was 78.

Man, it is foggy here this morning. They’re now saying a high of 65 today. I’d like that except the crazy weather changes are likely to trigger severe thunderstorms which I so do not care about.

So, did everyone have a good Christmas? Was Santa good to you all? I got three books, season three of Remington Steele, two long-sleeved pajama tees, some tins of gourmet cookies, some new sweatpants, a pair of tweezers (I asked for them! LOL!) and a new coat! It’s purple and very warm.

There isn’t a darn thing on tonight except reruns. So you know what that means! *g* Last night I finally watched Casino Royale. I’ve never been all that gaga over Daniel Craig, but he totally rocks as Bond.

I took the last two days off from writing. But it’s back to the grind tonight.

Reading: I set aside Queen of Demons so I could read one of my Christmas present books. The one I chose is set during the holidays so I had to read it. Right? It’s Mrs. Jeffries and the Feast of St. Stephen by Emily Brightwell. This is the latest (I think) book in the series set in Victorian England. Mrs. Jeffries is the housekeeper of a police inspector and she and the rest of his household staff (he inherited money from an aunt) help him detect without actually telling him they’re detecting. It’s a fun series.

  2. “Santa Baby” is my FAVORITE holiday song. I have her version of it on my iPod.

Daniel Craig is a Hottie. Just sayin’.

You know who I think would make an EXCELLENT Bond? Jason Isaacs (he played Lucius Malfoy in Harry Potter). He would totally ROCK as Bond. :anyone:

  3. We had a nice Christmas, I received a Yoga mat bag, it’s so pretty! And MIL bought us some new towels. *G* The kids made out pretty well and are playing with their new toys. (I was a bad Mommy and forgot some batteries. Oops!)
Eartha Kitt was fabulous as the original cat woman. *G* And her Santa Baby is one of my all-time favorites.

    I hope you’re having a terrific day!
