We lost power about 7:30 this morning. Briefly. It’s back on for the moment, but looking out my bedroom window at this giant bush in the front yard I don’t hold out a lot of hope for the phone/DSL line holding out much longer. The line is sagging pretty low and the bush is covered in ice and resting on the line. The other lines aren’t looking much better.
Can somebody send me tons of money so I can move back to Arizona, please? 115 degrees doesn’t sound so bad.
Ack! We’re under an ice storm warning. I am not pleased. If our power or the cable/satellite goes out tonight I am going to be even less pleased. So keep your fingers crossed. Otherwise you’ll have to see me being Really Annoyed. *g*
On a completely different note, my good friend Suzanne has made the finals of the Bloggies. She’s the only romance writer to ever make the awards, so this is A Very Big Deal. Please go vote for her here in the category of “Best Kept Secret”. (You have to scroll sideways which is weird, but they didn’t ask me.) You can vote once for every email address you have. And if you’ve never read her blog before, check it out! It’s lots of fun!
Got another trip to the chiro today. May not make Wednesday’s appointment, though, because the nasty weather is supposed to last through then. I’m so heartbroken. Not!
Reading: Now I’m reading Nerd Gone Wild by Vicki Lewis Thompson. It’s cute. Heiress Ally Jarrett just wants to be a wildlife photographer so she takes a trip to Alaska to practice. PI/bodyguard Mitchell Carruthers follows hot on her heels in his disguise as the nerdy personal assistant to Ally’s late grandmother who hired Mitch to protect Ally from her ne’er-do-well uncle who’s on Ally’s trail, too.
