Time for another DWTS report! Two new dances last night. The Argentine Tango and the Lindy Hop.
David Alan Grier & Kym Johnson (Lindy hop) – Well, he looked like he was having fun, but I didn’t think it was all that good. The judges thought it was fairly good, though. Whatever. *g* They scored 22/30.
Shawn Johnson & Mark Ballas (Lindy Hop) – Awesome!!! Her gymnastics skills really worked for her in this dance. The judges thought there were too many gymnastics tricks and not enough dancing which I guess is a valid argument. They scored 25/30.
Lil’ Kim & Derek Hough (Argentine Tango) – I thought it looked really good but it didn’t really sizzle for me. Not sure why, though. I thought Bruno was going to vault across the desk and molest her, though. *g* Gosh, for once Len (aka Mr. Crankypants) and I agreed! Wow. They scored 27/30. They got the first ten of the season (from Bruno *g*)!
Holly Madison & Dmitry Chaplin (Argentine Tango) – She needs to go. She’s really not good at all and she doesn’t have The Woz’s entertainment value. They scored 16/30.
Gilles Marini & Cheryl Burke (Argentine Tango) – Now that was a sizzling tango!!! *fanning self* The judges agreed. They scored 30/30. The first perfect score of the season!
Ty Murray & Chelsie Hightower (Lindy Hop) – Great job!!! Even the judges loved it!!! They scored 25/30. I think Ty is moving into my top picks.
Steve-O & Lacey Schwimmer (Lindy Hop) – Well, it was better than some people’s, but that’s not saying much. I think his back is still bothering him. They scored 15/30.
Melissa Rycroft & Tony Dovolani (Lindy Hop) – It totally rocked! She’s definitely a contender. They scored 29/30.
Lawrence Taylor & Edyta Sliwinska (Argentine Tango) – It didn’t really sizzle for me either. But I wonder if I wasn’t distracted to some extent by the music. It sounded like a stuck record. *g* The judges were split on their opinions. What else is new? They scored 19/30.
Chuck Wicks & Julianne Hough (Lindy Hop) – I loved it!!! The judges were a tad pickier than I was. What a shocker. *g* They scored 22/30.
Steve Wozniak & Karina Smirnoff (Argentine Tango) – Well, I love the Woz, but it really wasn’t very good. Karina did all the work. Bruno was REALLY rough. Yikes! They scored 12/30.
I didn’t get to sleep until 5:00 this morning.
I hate days (nights?) like that! In other news, my hands are still bugging the daylights (and where did that phrase come from anyway?) out of me, so I’m reading but not replying. I’ll be back eventually, I promise.
Tonight on TV, we have new episodes of NCIS, The Mentalist, the DWTS results show (with a double elimination!), and the new (or revamped) show Cupid.
Wrote one page last night.
Reading: I’m about halfway through Dial M for Mischief which I’m enjoying immensely.

You and I agree about Holly. She is just so, stiff and awkward. I thought Cheryl and Gilles deserved their perfect score, their dance was SMOKING! *G*
I hope your hands feel better soon, I am sending you good thoughts!

Thanks for the recap. I saw Ty Murray dance and he was great.
I hope you had a good Wednesday.

I saw the previews for Cupid and told hubby that I couldn’t believe they were calling the show that because I used to love a show called Cupid that starred Jeremy Priven only it was cancelled. It’s only after I payed closer attention to the show did I see it’s a remake.
I wish they’d just bring back the real one.
I won’t watch it just because it’s ABC. One show, Castle, is enough for that cruddy network that cancels all the good shows.
