This post really has nothing to do with fools and their money. It was just the first thing that popped into my head with the word “fool” in it. I’m not really in an April Fool’s mood, so I’m mostly ignoring the whole thing.
So, I’ve been “window” shopping for an HDTV for awhile now. Comparing prices and features, etc. I’ve pretty much decided on a 32 inch Vizio because I’ve heard they’re a very good low-price (or as low as they come, anyway) brand. Anyway, they now have an “eco-friendly” model that I want in the worst way. It uses 44% less energy than other models. And it’s white instead of the usual black which would look better in my bedroom. The problem is finding it. They used to be available at Walmart but no more. They also claim you can get it at Sam’s Club. But I’m betting they don’t have it here. I may just have to order the darn thing direct from Vizio.
Sad news from Hollywood. Actor Andy Hallett who played the demon Lorne on Angel died this past Sunday after a five year battle with heart disease. He was only 33. I loved his character and can’t believe he died so young.
Last night on DWTS, we had a double elimination. But first we got to see Gilles & Cheryl’s tango again. Still steamy! The couples that went bye-bye are Holly & Dimitri (thank the Lord!) and The Woz & Karina (boohoo!). Not too surprising for either, though. But he was so much more entertaining than the other couples in the bottom three. Oh well.
Tonight on TV, we have Ghost Hunters, Lost, and UFO Hunters. All the other shows I watch are reruns.
Wrote another page last night.
Reading: Now I’m reading Mall Purchase Night by Rick Cook. Mall security guard Andy Westlin is new on the job. Little does he know all hell is about to break loose because the Black Oak Mall is built on a gateway between our world and Elfland. And a battle for control is about to happen. I’m enjoying it enough, thus far, but not as much as I love his Wizardry series.

I think “Lie to Me” is on tonight. Hubby will probably watch the Laker game.

I really don’t care for April Fool’s Day. *shrug*

Just another day for my short people to jack with me and then laugh their collective asses off.
Congrats on the writing!!!

I’ve been looking at HDTVs too. I’m going to check out the Vizio brand.

Congrats on the page! I looked at Vizio. Not that we can afford it right now, but I decided if I splurged I’d get a Sharpe if not the Vizio would be my choice. Check Costco. They carry them. Not sure about the white one though, but you never know.
WTG on the writing.

It must be in the air, because we’ve been looking at HDTV’s too. *g* We have a Polaroid in our bedroom (so I could read the guide) and I’ve been drooling over the Sony. But, you say the Vizio is good?
Great job on writing a page!
And the right dancers left last night, though the Woz was funny. It’s more serious this year, I think.
I hope you’re having a nice evening.
