Once again, TV execs have made a decision without asking my opinion. Much to my annoyance I’ve found out the Game Show Network is no longer showing the old 1950s/60s version of What’s My Line. I emailed to ask about it and they said they have no plans whatsoever to air them again. Well, they’ll be airing all their other game shows without my viewership because this annoys me so much! Jerks!

In news from Hollywood (or New York, actually), the CBS soap opera Guiding Light, the longest-running television show ever, is being cancelled after 72 years on the air. It began as a radio serial in 1937. The last show will air September 18th.

And there are still people out there bashing Cheryl Burke, saying she’s too fat. Please! I am sick to death of this obsession with anorexic-looking women. And you have to read Gilles Marini‘s opinion on Cheryl’s weight here. I love his comments!

Tonight, we have new episodes of Bones, Survivor, CSI, Treasure Quest (season finale), Warriors, and Eleventh Hour. Whew!!! Obviously, some stuff will have to be recorded.

Only got half a page written last night. But since I was tweaking stuff I’m not complaining.

Reading: Still reading Mall Purchase Night. It’s getting better. :)

  1. I’m not getting what people think is wrong with Burke. I’d kill for her figure.

Did you hear Marley Shelton from “Eleventh Hour” is pregnant?

  2. They are just jealous because she got curves.

Guilding Light was the first soap opera that I remember watching and the first soap opera that I took a tour of. I haven’t watched the show in a long time but I fondly remember the casts from years past.

Is Eleventh Hour a season finale? I could have sworn I saw that in a commercial for the show.

    Yay on the written words.

    Have a good Thursday.

  3. Wow, Guiding Light is folding? Ya’ just can’t depend on anything these days, now can you.

So how to soaps end? Do they wrap up story lines? Kill people off, or what?

  4. Cheryl is not fat. Oh my gosh. What are people thinking?

  5. Cheryl is SO not fat. I hate our society’s fascination and objectivity of a woman’s figure. Not every person comes in twig size. *sigh* I’m glad her partner is sticking up for her because last season a few of the male professional dancers were calling her fat, too.
My guide on Dish is telling me that tonight is the Season Finale of Eleventh Hour. I hope, desperately, that it returns. And YAY! A new Bones tonight! WOOT!

A half a page is nothing to sneeze at! WTG!

    I hope you’re having a wonderful evening!
