When I first woke up this morning, I thought, “I’ll blog about ______ this morning.” Unfortunately, I’ve now forgotten what ______ was. It’s really scary in my head. *g*
Supposed to be a bit cooler today (high of 78) with thunderstorms. Joy. But I can live with thunderstorms as long as we don’t have tornadoes.
LOL! I just realized I’m dressed very patriotically today. I have on a red t-shirt, blue shorts, and white shoes & socks. *g*
Reading: I watched a movie made in 1942 last night called Mr. & Mrs. North (starring the inimitable Gracie Allen) which was based on the Pam & Jerry North mystery series of books by Richard and Frances Lockridge. While watching I remembered I had one of the books in the series, Death Takes a Bow, so I started reading it last night.
Sunny and hot I can live with. Humid, not so much. I hate loathe and despise humidity. It offends my desert rat soul.
I am so tired of the constant gloom and doom on the news these days. I honestly think they revel in it. But I’m sick to death of it. I think we need a 24-hour news network that shows nothing but happy news. We could also have weird news that just makes you laugh at the weirdness of other people. *g* I wonder if I could get a government grant for that?
And in an effort to spread a little laughter, I give you this commercial from Jack-in-the-Box!
I saw this last night for the first time and I was just howling.
Nothing on tonight, so I’ll be watching recorded shows.
Wrote half a page last night.
Reading: After mentioning to Marianne yesterday that Crouching Buzzard, Leaping Loon was my favorite of the Meg Langslow series, I decided to read it again. This one is set before the book I read last. This time around, Meg is trying to find out what’s going on at her brother’s computer game company. I have a soft spot for programmers having worked with some at my last job which is why this one is my favorite. Even though we didn’t make computer games but other kinds of software, programmers are all alike, I think.
