I always get a giggle out of Amazon‘s recommendations. The frequently have nothing to do with each other. Like today, for instance. I was recommended a pair of men’s socks because I’d added a water filter thiingy to my wish list. Am I supposed to use the socks in the filtration process? LOL!
Here’s a picture of the quilt top we found with the pattern we can’t identify (it’s not opened all the way, obviously):
We’ve seen the pattern before but neither one of us (Mom and I) have a clue what it’s called. Anybody? Beuller?
I finally found a Yahoo Group for fruit/canning jar collecting. I’m hoping they can answer some of my questions about ones we’ve found that are a mystery.
There isn’t a thing on tonight, so it’s back to recorded shows. The next to last episode of the season for Lost and yet more episodes of Criminal Minds and CSI: NY. I might watch an episode of The Unusuals but since it got canceled that seems kind of pointless.
So, we’re still going through stuff of my aunt’s. Tons of quilting stuff. Quilt blocks she had cut out, quilt tops she had pieced together but not finished. And one of the quilt tops that’s ready to be finished is a mystery pattern. Mom has no idea what it’s called and I can’t find anything remotely like it. It’s an appliqued quilt with doves in each block. I’ve found other dove quilts but they don’t look like this one. I’ll try to post a picture of it tomorrow on the off-chance one of you guys may have seen it before.
And we started figuring out how old the jars are. One of them is almost 100 years old!!! I’m tempted to bundle it up and keep it safe and sound in my bedroom rather than try to sell it to some cretin who won’t appreciate it the way I will.
Not much else going on around here. Though I actually have real shows to watch tonight! Not recorded shows. What a concept. There’s a new show on the Travel Channel that sounds fun called Extreme Roadside Adventures. I’m not sure how long it’s been since it premiered but I only just learned about it today. Also we’ll be blowing stuff up (fun!) on MythBusters and searching for space aliens on UFO Hunters (which is a show that never fails to make me laugh—unintentionally, I’m sure).
