So, yesterday I got my first massage in more than eight years. I really liked this girl (even if she was tall and thin *g*). But she warned me I’d be really sore for a day or two. She was not kidding! I feel like I’ve been run over by a bus. She also told me my shoulder (the one with the supposed bursitis) is going to take awhile. Not a big surprise since it’s been bugging me pretty much since I stopped getting massage after I left Texas.
So, how about that news story out of Philadelphia where that swim club had a SIGNED CONTRACT with a summer day camp to let the kids use their pool only when the swim club found out all the kids were black and Latino, they reneged on the contract and gave them their money back? Hello?
It’s the 21st Century, people. Get over yourselves. Sheesh. Wonder if they’d complain if the president’s kids wanted to swim there?
On a happier note, at least it’s no longer All Michael Jackson, All the Time. I mean, I didn’t mind some of it, but nothing but that 24/7? Bit too much, Media People.
However, on this date in 1938, Howard Hughes, along with a handful of other men, set a new speed record by flying around the world in 91 hours.
And happy, happy, joy, joy! Tonight is the season premiere of Eureka!!!
Not, y’know, that I’m excited or anything. (I’m such a liar!)
Only wrote about half a page last night. After my massage I was doing well to remember my characters’ names.
Reading: Still reading Making Money by Terry Pratchett. I do so enjoy his work.

What happened to those kids is so deplorable. This should not be happening in 2009.
It was so good to have Burn Notice back on. I missed the gang. Next week is Leverage time.
I hope you’re feeling better today. Yay on writing.

Pain in your case is good! I hope the massage begins to work it’s magic and after another time or two you really see improvement.
I hadn’t heard about the swim club, but that’s horrible. I hope something can be done about it.
Enjoy your show!

I heard about the pool situation on the news yesterday. That type of bigotry is deplorable! The swim club was quoted as saying “the complexion of the pool” had changed. UGH.
Did you see the title of tonight’s Eureka? “Welcome Back Carter”. Anyone besides me have the theme song from an old tv show running through their head? *G*
Did you also hear the Paul Blackthorne (who played Harry Dresden) will be guesting on Burn Notice later this season? *G*
Glad the massage went well, sorry to hear you’re sore, but it’s a good sore, right?
I hope you’re having a good day!
