Wow. I got seven hours of sleep last night. That’s almost unheard of. I must have been tired.

Not a lot going on here. We had some storms roll through last night but it turns out we didn’t get all that much rain. At least not at our house.

On this date in 1933, the first minimum wage was established. Workers were awarded a whopping 40 cents an hour!!! *g* Of course, I guess in 1933, that was fairly good money.

Tonight on TV, we have the final two episodes of Expedition Africa which I’ll be recording, plus a new Agatha Christie story on Mystery!, this time it’s Murder Is Easy.

Reading: I finished The Demon King and I which I enjoyed tremendously. Loved that it’s primarily set in Austin, Texas! :) Then I started re-reading the first book in the Poetic Death series, High Rhymes and Misdemeanors by Diana Killian. It’s been awhile since I’ve read the whole series and since I now have the newest in the series I decided it was time to read the whole kit & caboodle.

  1. Glad to hear you were able to sleep last night. I read the Demon King and I and liked it, too. *G* If it would make it cooler outside your storm is welcome here!

I hope you have a peaceful day!

  2. Can you imagine working for 40 cents an hour today? Not hardly.

7 hours of sleep is a good thing. I normally sleep 6 hours. Lately it’s been 4-5 hours.
