I had such fun yesterday talking about tacky roadside attractions, I decided to discuss tourist trap motels today.
Fun places to spend a night or two on your road trip include:
Wigwam Motel in Rialto, California (or any of its twins across the country). The style of motel was used as the basis for the Cozy Cone Motel in Disney Pixar’s movie Cars. Google the phrase “Wigwam Motel” and you’ll get tons of listings! Also google “teepee motel” for more of the same.
The Canyon Motel & RV Park in Williams, Arizona where you can sleep in a converted caboose (which is supposedly haunted). Do a Google search for “caboose motel” and you’ll find plenty of those too!
This has been so much fun, I think I may make it a regular feature of the blog. Tacky Tuesday, anyone?
Well except today is Wednesday, of course. But I have plenty of other fun and tacky attractions I can talk about for weeks to come!
In personal news, I FINALLY got my hair cut yesterday. It’s gone from a long mess back to its cute 1920s style bob.
I thoroughly enjoyed Warehouse 13 last night. And I re-watched the season premiere episode of Eureka which came before W13. And I’m still baffled why they haven’t paired these two shows up on their respective regular nights.
Tonight we have a new episode of Ghost Hunters International and the season premiere of Leverage!
The problem is GHI and Leverage are on at the same time. That’s very rude of the schedulers. But I’ll manage. Somehow.
Wrote about a quarter or a third of a page last night. Yesterday wasn’t one of my best days, so I’m amazed I wrote that much.
Reading: Now I’m reading The Ghost and the Dead Deb by Alice Kimberly. This is a new-to-me author and the second book in the Haunted Bookshop series. 30-something widow Penelope Thornton-McClure runs the Buy the Book bookshop with her Aunt Sadie. Unknown to everyone but Pen, the shop is haunted by the hunky ghost of 1940s PI Jack Shephard who helps Pen solve local murders.

Tacky Tuesday sounds like fun. Did you know that the Redneck games were held in Dublin, Ga. this week? I’ll pass on attending, but it’s interesting that it’s now acceptable to call someone a redneck. *G*
Ooh, I bet your haircut looks very pretty! Warehouse 13 was fun last night, I liked the ending where they didn’t notify the FBI about the thieves.
I hope you have a fabulous day! (And a 1/3 page is better than no page! *G*)

I’m so ready for Leverage.
I still haven’t caught an episode of Warehouse 13. I’ll definitely have to give it a try.
Do you like your new do?

HI Tori,
I’m game for Tacky Tuesdays. It makes me want to find something tacky to share with you. Hmmm…I’ll get back to you on Tuesday!
I have to ask. Do you read very quickly or multiple books at once?

Wow, I thought the Wigwam was gone! It was abandoned for years (I don’t live far from Rialto). That’s cool to see it re-opened.
I liked the first Warehouse 13. Haven’t seen second episode. I like the guy.
