The wildfires in California are burning like, well, wildfire. Bad pun. Sorry. It seems like every five or ten minutes I get a new news alert from one of the big news outlets about the fires. And it never seems to be good news. So stay safe out there, people. The rest of us will keep you in our prayers.
Not really much else to say today. It’s a gorgeous sunny but cool (predicted high of 76) day. Nice!
Tonight on TV we have a new episode (finally!) of Inspector Lewis on Masterpiece Mystery and a new episode of Defying Gravity.
Reading: Finished up All Together Dead. For some reason I didn’t like Quinn as much this time around. Oh well. Now I’m reading A Sensitive Kind of Murder by Jacqueline Girdner. This is the final book in the series.

It’s a bit humid over here.

OOh, I wish we had your weather today! Are the Wildfires you’re talking about the same ones that have been in the news all week? Weren’t they started by a meth lab?
Between fires, land slides and earthquakes sometimes I wonder why people live in Southern California.
I hope you enjoy your day!

Yeah, the fires are nasty, the sky has been cloudy all day with smoke. And really it isn’t that we have so many fires, fires are a part of the cycle. What the problem is is that people have built into fire zones. What should just be dry brush is now housing tracks.
Yes, we have fires, but we don’t have tornados. We don’t have hurricanes. We don’t have blizzards. I’m guessing more lives have been lost in tornados in this country than earthquakes. The thought of a tornado terrifies me. And snow, well, I’ve lived in snow for a few months and that was more than enough. Meh…
Speakings of meh…I never thought much of Quinn. I’m not sure why people loved him so, I thought he was useless for the most part. I was so glad when Sookie gave him the heave ho.

You’re right. There’s not much on TV tonight. I’m about to give “Defying Gravity” a try. Never seen it, have no idea what its about, but what the heck?

They said on the radio that two firefighters died yesterday in those wildfires. So sad. This weekend we drove through an area that had been hit bad by forest fires. The devastation was just so vast. And this had happened years ago!
