On this date in 1902, movie mogul Darryl F. Zanuck was born.

And in 1935, singing movie cowboy Gene Autry starred in his first feature film, Tumbling Tumbleweeds.

There’s nothing on tonight in prime time that I care about. But at 10:00 my time is a repeat of a new show on Spike called Surviving Disaster. It’s a show that tells/shows you how to, well, survive a disaster. :) While it may well have research possibilities (I haven’t seen it yet, so can’t be sure), I mostly want to watch because the host of the show is a hunky former Navy SEAL. I’m so shallow. LOL!

I read through and tweaked 15 pages last night. Got through to the end. Whew! Now I’m going to take a break from that book and let it percolate some more. I’m afraid if I keep messing with it right now, I’ll totally screw it up. So now it’s on to the land of steampunk! I need to go in search of a plot…

Reading: Now I’m reading Snagged by Carol Higgins Clark. This is the second Regan Reilly book. This time around Regan has to keep a friend’s uncle from getting killed. But is the villain the pantyhose manufacturer who never wants Uncle Richie’s snag-proof pantyhose to show up on the market or the people who want to buy Uncle Richie’s retirement apartment building out from under him and the other tenants?

  2. Okay, so you made it through to the end. Now what? Aren’t you supposed to start sending it out, getting an agent, writing a synopsis and query letter, all that stuff I keep hearing about???

Good luck with the Steampunk plot. I know it’ll come to you in no time.

  3. WTG on tweaking the entire book! That’s awesome!
There used to be a show on Discovery Health about if you were fit enough to survive a disaster. I really liked it and understood the concept behind it.
I hope you had a good day!

  4. That is great, 15 pages! I am in awe of you, Tori. And I like those Regan Reilly mysteries, too. I need to go to the library and stock up, next week…
