Sometimes I discover people have searched for the funniest things and found them here. The most recent search phrase “Samantha Harris bad hair”. Another has me quite puzzled. “Smallville bondage”. The show has obviously changed a lot since I quit watching it! LOL! And I’m fairly certain I’ve never discussed anything remotely pertaining to that.

On this date in 1926, magician/illusionist/escape artist Harry Houdini died from peritonitis after a blow to the abdomen. He’d been demonstrating how to tighten the stomach muscles to avoid injury when he was hit unexpectedly before he could prepare himself. And did you know Houdini also made a few silent films?

And in honor of Halloween, tonight on the Sci Fi Channel, we have the Ghost Hunters annual live Halloween special. Last year’s totally rocked! And it’s hosted by the dishy Josh Gates.

I wrote a page and a half last night. :whoo:

Reading: Now I’m reading Street Magic by Tamora Pierce. This is the second book in the Circle Opens series.

On this date in 1938, Orson Welles broadcast War of the Worlds on radio, causing a national panic among people who didn’t realize it was a radio play. Gullible much?

It’s still raining here. *sigh* Enough already!

On TV tonight, Stargate Universe, White Collar, Numb3rs and Sanctuary.

Wrote another page last night.

Reading: Still reading Briar’s Book

On this date in 1923, the Charleston was introduced in the Broadway musical “Runnin’ Wild”.

It’s also the birthday of Fanny Brice who was born in 1891. She was portrayed in two movies (Funny Girl and Funny Lady) by Barbra Streisand.

Very annoyingly, it’s raining. AGAIN. :drowning: I am so sick of the rain. Sun, sun, sun, sun, sun, sun!!!! That’s what I want!!!

Tonight on TV, we have FlashForward, CSI (which, frankly, I’m getting bored with), The Mentalist and four episodes of UFO Hunters. I’ll be watching that last one and recording everything else. :)

Wrote a full page last night.

Reading: Now I’m reading Briar’s Book by Tamora Pierce which is the last of the Circle of Magic books.
