Or maybe just three. Last night we had the beginning of two weeks of double eliminations. And we also had a mambo dance marathon.

Aaron Carter & Karina Smirnoff (Waltz) – Very elegant. But he also lost his footing a bit. However, Len said it was his best dance of the season. (he must have had his happy pills—Samantha even mentioned his happy pills! I bet she stole it from me! ) They scored 25/30 plus 8 points in the mambo marathon.

Donny Osmond & Kym Johnson (Jitterbug) – Another awesome performance! They brought the house down. But he stumbled once and they got out of synch at one point, too. But it was highly entertaining (though his outfit was so not flattering *g*). They scored 24/30 plus 7 points in the mambo marathon.

Joanna Krupa & Derek Hough (Waltz) – It was lovely and elegant. But there is just something about her I do not like. Len and Carrie Ann were a little picky about it. Bruno loved it. They scored 26/30 plus 10 points in the mambo marathon. :confused68: How did THAT happen?!

Kelly Osbourne & Louis van Amstel (Jitterbug) – It was cute but not her best. I suspect she was babying her ankle she injured last week. They scored 20/30 plus 5 points in the mambo marathon. (I tossed her three of my nine votes because I want her to stay in the competition.)

Louie Vito & Chelsie Hightower (Jitterbug) – I thought they rocked it! The judges thought parts of it were great, other parts…. not so much. *g* He dropped Chelsea a couple of times which he was afraid he’d do. Oops! They scored 21/30 plus 3 points in the mambo marathon.

Mark Dacascos & Lacey Schwimmer (Jitterbug) – Wow! It rocked!!! They brought the house down. :) He did have a little bobble at the end which was unfortunate, but overall, it was awesome. Strange how many people stumbled and bobbled and got tripped up. They scored 26/30 plus 6 points in the mambo marathon.

Melissa Joan Hart & Mark Ballas (Waltz) – Her whole dance looked kind of awkward to me. Bruno and Carrie Ann agreed with me. Len said we were being too harsh. He liked it. Go figure. But what the heck was up with Mark’s hair??? It looked remarkably like this ====> :shriek: LOL!!! They scored 20/30 plus 4 points in the mambo marathon.

Michael Irvin & Anna Demidova (Waltz) – It was pretty good considering. Bruno had problems with it. Carrie Ann had problems with it. Len liked it a lot. What was up with that? They scored 20/30 plus 2 points in the mambo marathon.

Mya & Dmitri Chaplin (Jitterbug) – She did a great job!!! Bruno loved it, too. But Len and Carrie Ann thought it was lacking something. Party poopers. They scored 24/30 plus 9 points in the mambo marathon.

Tonight they’ll have the regular elimination of the person with the lowest combined total plus a dance-off between the next two lowest performers. The loser of that will also get the boot.

Not much else on tonight that I can’t live without seeing. So maybe I’ll catch up on some stuff. I broke down and bought the episode of FlashForward that the old DVR ate from iTunes last night. So I’ll watch that and get caught up.

Hey, it’s also the birthday of etiquette maven Emily Post (who was born in 1872) so mind your Ps and Qs or I’ll pop you one! :slap: :fryingpan: :boxing:

And back to writing tonight, too.

  1. Thanks for the DWTS recap. I missed all of it and I don’t know how. Who do you think will get the boot tonight?

  2. I watched last night, but wasn’t that impressed and what the heck? I can’t believe Derek and the model won the Mambo contest. I thought Mya and her partner should have won that one. And you are SO right about Donny’s outfit!
It will be interesting to see who goes home tonight.

Enjoy your show, and your night!

  3. Thanks for the report! I hope someone who deserves to get sent home does this week and we don’t have a repeat of last week.

    How did the writing go?
