So, is anyone crazy enough to be out there shopping today? You’d have to pay me to get me out there today. Pay me a lot.

I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving. Mine was fun. Got to see cousins I haven’t seen in decades. :) Got invitations to visit them in Colorado which sounds heavenly! Ate too much (shocker, I know!) but it was all so good. And today I’ve finally turned on the Christmas music.

The only thing on tonight is White Collar so I’ll also be catching up on more recorded shows.

No writing yesterday.

Reading: I’m back to re-reading The Adept: The Templar Treasure.

Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends here in the U.S. A few of the things I’m thankful for this year:

My vision is good enough to cut down on the frequency I have to visit the retina specialist.
My computer and big monitor that’s got such a sharp, clear picture.
    My book collection.
My wacky ideas for my own stories.
    Satellite television & radio.
Having a nice place to live (except during tornado season  )
And most especially my wonderful friends and family.

There’s not a darn thing on tonight that I care about watching, so I’ll be catching up on recorded shows. Gotta clear off space for Christmas movies! :)

Wrote about half a page last night.

Reading: Last night I read a new-to-me author, Murder on Astor Place by Victoria Thompson. It’s a mystery series set in New York City in the 1890s. The amateur detective is a socialite turned midwife who occasionally teams up with a police detective. It was quite enjoyable and IIook forward to reading more.

I don’t know why but I woke up this morning feeling as if I’d been twisted like a pretzel. Maybe I was dreaming of being a contortionist in the circus….

ETA: Forgot to mention that Kelly Osborne was robbed last night on DWTS. The winner was Donny Osmond which was a total crock. He was so uneven all season I’m surprised he made it to the finals. Well, he probably wouldn’t have if not for the fans. Which is how he won, though the judges didn’t do Kelly much good either.

Couple of things from entertainment history on this date. First, in 1947, movie executives fired 10 directors, producers, writers and actors who refused to testify before the House Un-American Activities Committee which was basically a witch hunt.

And in 1952, The Mousetrap, a play written by the queen of mystery fiction Agatha Christie, opened in London. It has been running continuously ever since, earning it a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records.

Tonight on TV, we have Criminal Minds (which I’m close to giving up), CSI: NY, MythBusters, Ghost Hunters reruns, and a new episode of Ghost Hunters Academy. Wonder if any of the cadets will get expelled tonight? They all kind of deserve it. Not for nothing have my cousin and I named them Medium Chick, Liar McFibberson, Tech Boy, Suggestible Boy, and Mr I Know More Than These Other People.

Wrote about a page last night.

Reading: Finished up The Six Sacred Stones which was quite good. Until the last page. Where it left you with a freakin’ cliffhanger!!! :fryingpan: I hate when authors do that. I mean I know it’s a series and there’s at least one more book in the series. But, c’mon, The Perils of Pauline went out of fashion with the 1930s! (And, yes, I hate when TV shows leave you hanging until the next season, too.) You shouldn’t leave your readers hanging like that. I’m just glad I won’t have to wait too long until I read the next one. Ahem. Wow. Didn’t plan on going on that rant. LOL!
