Gloom and Doom have returned to Northeast Arkansas. I’d like to kick their annoying little butts to the curb
but I suspect it wouldn’t do any good. They’d just come back like a bad penny with their cloudy skies and impending rain.
So. My new desk. I neglected to mention yesterday that, oddly enough, it’s made from molded plastic. I’ve never before seen a desk/hutch combo made from plastic. Hence my desire to pretty it up, but I’m still baffled as to how to achieve that. So I may have to just live with it the way it is. At least it’s not some freaky weird color.
I think as soon as I finish blog hopping today, I’m going to climb back up the family tree and shake loose more nuts. *g* I’d like to get it down to a manageable size, though I don’t see that happening any time soon. I still have over 16,000 people in the database.
The only thing on tonight are Christmas movies, Christmas specials. disaster movies on the Sci Fi Channel, and a new ghost hunting show I have to check out.
Wrote about half a page last night.
Reading: I’m reading a fantasy novel called The Family Trade by Charles Stross. It’s about an investigative journalist who is mysteriously fired from her job after she tried to write a story about money laundering, she receives a death threat, then she finds out her birth mother came from a parallel world where her blood family is, well, basically the Mafia. *g*

OOOH… Parallel worlds. Cool. HEY, did you ever read “From the Corner of His Eye” by Dean Koontz? It’s *sort of* a parallel universe book and based on such a really cool idea… if you don’t mind being scared quite a bit

Good luck with shortening your database.

I hope you have fun with your database! Love the way you put it, too! *G*
The book you’re reading sounds interesting. I may have to look that one up.
Good job on the writing!
Hope you had an excellent day!
