Well, I don’t actually drink at all.
Never have.
Today in history:
- 1904 – Musician/bandleader Count Basie was born.
- 1906 – Movie animator Frtiz Freleng was born.
- 1924 – Sports announcer Jack Buck was born. He was the legendary voice of the St. Louis Cardinals all the years I was growing up.
- 1928 – WRNY began regularly scheduled television broadcasts in New York City. Yes, in 1928!!!
- 1935 – Benny Goodman‘s nationally broadcast concert at Los Angeles’ Palomar Theater was such a hit that it has often been referred to as the kickoff of the swing era.
- 1959 – Hawaii officially became the nation’s 50th state.
Nothing on tonight so you know what that means!
Reading: Finished up the Penny Nichols book. Not sure what’s next.

I don’t drink either. Never had. Always thought if you had to drink to have a good time there was something wrong.
Hope you’ve enjoyed your recorded shows!
