The Sci Fi Channel is having a marathon of Eureka through this afternoon. For Mother’s Day. Sounds like a weird choice? The Mother in question is Sarah the Smart House. *g*
And on that note, may I wish all you mothers out there, a very happy Mother’s Day!!!
We had some wild weather here again last night. So getting old. I want to move back to the desert where it didn’t do much except get hot in the summer.
It’s National Train Day! So hop on board a train and see the world! Well, okay, you might have to take an alternate form of travel to cross the oceans but that’s beside the point. *g* I’ve always had a fascination with train travel. Despite my one train trip when I was a kid which was less than fun. I suspect it’s all those romantic mystery movies from the 30s & 40s. The Thin Man movies, Grand Central Murder, Murder in a Private Car (which I saw just recently), Lady on a Train, The Silk Express, The Lady Vanishes, Rome Express, and then later in 1974 we had the star-studded Murder on the Orient Express.
There’s nothing on TV tonight that I like, so I’ll be catching up on recorded shows. I wonder if I have anything with trains in it….?
Wrote almost another page last night.
Reading: Dead to the World by Charlaine Harris. This is the fourth Sookie Stackhouse book. It’s been awhile since I’ve read it. But the one thing I remember about it was all the lovely Eric hotness. *g*
It’s a gorgeous sunny day here, kids. Predicted high of 77.
Someone asked yesterday if the “Next Big Thing” was a Brisco County Jr. reference. And, you know, I’d forgotten all about that being one of the running gags of the show! How sad. Must get those DVDs one of these days….
