On this date in 1939, the producers of The Wizard of Oz debated whether or not to keep one song in the movie because it slowed down the action. They finally decided to keep it in. The song? Over the Rainbow.

We have finches! I haven’t seen finches since we moved here over two years ago. I like finches. Now if only we had some goldfinches… But so far I’ve only seen house finches and the little red-headed ones (which, oddly, I’ve always heard called purple finches 
).
Tonight at 9pm Central time is really busy. I have Flashpoint, Psych, and Stargate: Atlantis. Also Doctor Who. Fortunately, it’s the only thing in its time slot I watch.
As some of you may know (or not *g*), country singer Toby Keith once had a hit song called Beer For My Horses. Well, that song is now a movie. 
The video was lots of fun, so I suspect the movie may well be, too. Anyway, a video’s been playing on the country music channels that’s from the soundtrack of the movie and it cracks me up every time I see it. So, without further ado, I give you [»]
